You'll know Paris fashion designer Sophie Mechaly's clothing line PAUL & JOE, named for her two sons., by it's imaginative, covetable pieces that work for every occasion - from early morning meetings to late night drinks.
PAUL & JOE Beauté, her cosmetics line, is an extension of that, with equally fetching products that have an innate whimsical happiness to them.
Naturally the packaging is beyond adorable. Each season, there's a limited edition collection launched. Each of these "Collection Sparkles" as they're called, are outfitted in the signature pattern from that season's fashion line.
These straight-from-the runway-prints just happen to be nautical- and beach-themed this season, which is not just au courant, but a way of bringing the beaches of Miami, Rio, Australia and Cape Cod to your daily routine. The scent of ocean water, the feel of hot sand scrunching beneath your toes and warm sun on your back, the caw of seagulls up above. This is the life. And a collection not-to-be-missed:

Translucent powder will come in handy when the hot weather hits and you need to keep shine free. Weightless, the perfect silky finish is delivered with a soft-as-a-bunny's-ear puff. These shades were made for frolicking at the water's edge. Sunny hues that can be applied to both eyes and cheeks, Face & Eye Colour Palettes come in three unique combinations of shades:

What's more is that these eye shadows and blushes come equipped with built-in nourishers and moisturizers so while the sun beats down, your skin gets some serious TLC by way of jojoba seed oil, orange flower water, and extracts of rose canina fruit, rosemary, and water lily.
The exterior of the Come Sail Away palette (pictured above) features sailboats drawn in preppy pinks and kelly green. Inside, the coloured palettes themselves are the sails on simply drawn boats. Sigh. Best way to start the day, no?
I've never had a refillable lipstick before and never one that came complete with a cute kitty silhouette in the centre. Totes adorbs obvs.
The lipsticks are formulated using a unique, Japanese candy-making technique called Kintaro- ame, which consists of "two separate tubes – one columnar and one cat-shaped – to ensure the cat faces remain visible until the lipstick is used up.: The transparent outer layer is made up of a formulation of cocoa seed butter, jojoba seed and lavender oils that keeps lips moist and acts as a base for the incoming shade, while the cat-shaped portion delivers the vibrant colour.
This lipstick is beyond amazing. Three summer-ready shades (pictured above) of the lip primer and pigment in one deliver a bit of shine with a heavy dose of colour that feels ultra lightweight and nourishing. And oh how it glides on, yet stays put. Get it in limited edition Catamaran (001) a sexy deep nude, Smooth Sailing (002) a medium pink that looks simultaneously girlish and grownup, and Ahoy (003) an alluring red with depth.
You're going to need a nautical-inspired limited edition case to go with those lipsticks. Luckily, there are two this season - the classic duo of navy and white, and on the softer side, powder blue and white. Get both.
Our tans may fade but these memories will last forever.
